Which One Are You?
Today I took part in a session for managers. The weather was stormy, and one of the windows in the auditorium the event took place in was opened. There seemed to be a “good” reason for that: the window was stuck and could not be closed easily.
One of the managers who participated in the meeting got up, grabbed a chair, climbed on it and tried to close the window. “Don’t do that!” another manager said. “All you need to do is call the janitor and tell him we need this window closed ASAP. He will take care of it”.
The manager struggling with the window smiled while standing on his chair and said: “In my company, even when a car gets broken, we first try to fix the engine ourselves”. As he finished this sentence, he managed to close the window, and set back down in his chair.
